The Cost of Drug Rehab: Is It Worth It?
The cost of drug rehab is well worth it, if you find one that works. Each individual is different and should not be in a cookie cutter treatment center that only offers one solution. An addiction recovery center should be designed to the individual’s needs and not only to the drug they are dependent on. Finding the right drug and alcohol rehab program is key in determining if the cost of drug rehab is worth it or not.
There are many factors that will determine what the cost will be for any particular drug rehab clinic. Below you will find a list of what can lower or raise the cost of treatment.
In-patient or Out-patient Recovery: If you are enrolled in an out-patient recovery program you will most likely pay much less than an in-patient recovery program. Out-patient programs are designed to allow the patient to continue living their life, working, sleeping at home, and will only need to be at treatment for designated times either daily or weekly. In-patient recovery programs will remove the addict from the temptations they are surrounded by at home and keep them in an around the clock monitored environment.
Treatment Needs: The needs of the patient entering the drug and alcohol drug rehab program will weigh in on the cost of drug rehab. There are special programs to treat each type of dependency according to its severity.
Experience and Success Rate: An addiction recovery center that has a more experienced staff and a higher success rate will often come at a higher cost. Some of the newer programs may have the same methods of treatment but have not established a track record like the larger facilities yet.
Where You Live: If you live in California the cost of living may be higher but the cost of drug rehab cheaper due to it being a largely populated area and there may be several competing facilities nearby. In a more remote area you may find that the cost is higher due to the fact there is only one or two available facilities within a large radius.
The success rate of trying to beat an addiction on one’s own is very low so the cost of drug rehab is well worth it for the support and structured methods to assist in a recovery that will last a lifetime.
